We are new to the Chicago area from Miami, FL. We are in need of a part-time sitter to help with after school care and every other week/weekend evenings for a 6-year-old boy. He attends Daystar a Christian private school about 3 minutes from our home. We live in the South Loop area right near the Convention Center and Mercy Hospital off 55/Cermak.
Duties would include:

Mainly heating dinner as I will pre-cook the meal, an occasional cooking meal,

small errands on occasion usually related to a school project needed for the child or quick runs to the grocery store for school lunch items,

must be able to help with 1st grade homework,

light cleaning, sweeping, dishes (dishwasher), and keeping common area neat. We teach him to clean after himself. However, the need for cleaning is mainly items he cannot do yet.

Must have a valid driver's license must pick him up from school and sometimes travel to after school activities/sports/bookstore.

The schedule will run on a two week interval. Since we need a sitter on weekends but every other weekend.

At the beginning of each week you will be given a schedule of what activities he is involved in. Note this is a great opportunity if you are a student to study while waiting for him to complete his activities!

We will pay an hourly rate of $11.00/hour. We will pay at the end of each two week schedule. We will pay $15.00/hour for emergency short notice request. We can pay total cash with 1099 tax form which will make you responsible for your own taxes.
